As part of our commitment to student wellbeing, Chartwell integrates SEE Learning (Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning), developed by Emory University.<\/p>

Wellbeing and safeguarding are not separate from education\u2014they are at the heart of everything we do. They provide the foundation that allows our students to grow with confidence, develop resilience, and thrive both academically and personally.<\/p>

Our approach to wellbeing is proactive, inclusive, and deeply rooted in our school culture. We strive to create an environment where every student feels valued, respected, and heard. Through meaningful relationships, strong pastoral care, and a focus on social and emotional development, we support students in building the skills they need to navigate challenges, develop positive relationships, and flourish throughout their educational journey.<\/p>

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility across our entire community. We are committed to creating a culture where students feel secure, families feel supported, and concerns are addressed with care, professionalism, and sensitivity. Every member of our team plays a role in ensuring that the wellbeing and safety of our students remain our highest priority.<\/p>

A key part of our work involves partnering closely with families. We believe that when schools and parents work together, children benefit most. Through open communication, workshops, guidance, and shared learning opportunities, we aim to empower families and strengthen the support network surrounding each child.<\/p>

As Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), I work closely with students, families, teachers, and external professionals when additional support is needed, ensuring that every child receives the care and guidance appropriate to their individual circumstances.<\/p>

Above all, our goal is simple: to create a school community where every child feels safe, happy, and able to be themselves. A place where wellbeing is nurtured, relationships are valued, and every student is given the opportunity to reach their full potential.<\/p>
