Assessing Learner Performance at Chartwell Primary

At Chartwell Primary, we use the Cambridge Primary testing structure to assess learner performance and report progress to learners and parents. The Cambridge Primary assessment uses internationally benchmarked tests, providing parents with a reliable and trusted source of feedback on their child’s progress.

The assessment covers a wide range of subjects, including English, Mathematics and Science, and is designed to provide a comprehensive picture of each learner’s strengths and areas for development. The assessment is age-appropriate and helps us to identify learners who may need additional support to achieve their full potential.

We believe that regular assessment and feedback is an essential part of providing a high-quality education. It helps us to identify areas where we can improve our teaching methods and curriculum, and it helps learners and parents to understand their progress and set goals for future learning.

By using the internationally benchmarked Cambridge Primary assessment, we are able to provide our learners and parents with a high level of confidence in the feedback they receive. We are committed to providing our learners with the best possible education and ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their future studies and careers.

Assessing Learner Progress with Cambridge Primary Progression Tests

At our school, we use Cambridge Primary Progression Tests to assess learner knowledge, skills, and understanding in English, Mathematics, and Science. These tests are designed to provide valid internal assessment of learning and enable teachers to give structured feedback to learners and parents.

The tests are administered each year and provide detailed information about the performance of each learner for stages 3, 4, 5, and 6. They enable teachers to compare the strengths and weaknesses of individuals and groups and to identify areas where additional support may be needed.

The tests are marked by teachers in our school and come with clear guidance, standards, and mark schemes. They can be used at any time during the year, as many times as needed, to ensure that we are providing ongoing feedback and support for our learners.

We believe that regular assessment and feedback is essential for ensuring that our learners are making progress and achieving their full potential. By using the Cambridge Primary Progression Tests, we are able to provide detailed and reliable feedback to learners and parents, and to identify areas where we can improve our teaching methods and curriculum.

Our goal is to provide our learners with the best possible education and to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their future studies and careers.
