Structure of the Cambridge Curriculum Programme

The Cambridge Primary Programme provides a core curriculum of three subject areas (English, Mathematics, and Science), leaving plenty of flexibility to further broaden the curriculum. The curriculum frameworks reflect the teaching targets for each year group and provide comprehensive learning objectives. The learning objectives provide a structure for teaching and learning and a reference against which learners’ ability and understanding can be checked. Schools can select the elements that are right for their learners.

The Cambridge Primary Programme is developed for the first six years of schooling, typically for 5 to 11-year-olds. It is organized into six stages, each of which represents a year of primary education, from Stage 1 to Stage 6. The program develops the skills, knowledge, and understanding that will prepare learners for a smooth transition to Cambridge Secondary 1.
